Hedrin is a breakthrough treatment for head lice. It is the first non-pesticide to gain a licence in the UK for the eradication of head lice. It is a silicone based lotion which, instead of poisoning the louse, kills it with a non-chemical action by smothering it physically. This means that lice cannot become resistant to Hedrin, as they can with conventional insecticides which rely on a chemical action to kill the lice.
