About the Role:

Can you take full ownership of an assigned supplier base for the T&R manufacturing facility with a direct spend of ~ £18M. This will mean you will develop and deliver the strategic sourcing plan for all packaging products to suit the changing needs of the T&R business- to include innovation, risk mitigation and cost competitiveness as well as working as a key liaison with Group Category Managers to support Global projects.

Do you have the ability to investigate quality or service failures and ensure corrective actions are implemented while managing QA and Regulatory compliance for all packaging related issues?

The expectations of this role also include the identification and execution of strategic procurement projects to drive quality, service and cost improvements, contract management, including commercial negotiations and service level agreements.

You will be a key part of the planning team who will be working together to optimize inventory levels and lead time performance including VMI where appropriate.

We are looking for a business champion for regulatory, packaging waste and environmental initiatives and to be the driving force behind innovative approaches to these key challenges at T&R


About You:

  • At least 5 years in strategic packaging procurement role
  • Knowledge of key packaging supply markets
  • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Regulations and Quality Assurance as relevant to category
  • Quantitative and analytical skills, ERP proficiency, Microsoft office suite.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment, pro-active, customer focused and takes ownership of work, is proactive and thinks beyond the given task
