About the Role:
As we approach our 100th birthday we have embarked on an exciting new restructure of our Technical Operations team. This restructure reflects that Thornton & Ross are key part of the global business STADA Arzneimittel AG who are one of the fastest growing Pharmaceutical and OTC (“Over the counter”) companies in Europe. As part of this change, we have created a new position of Group Leader to provide the expertise, leadership and passion to create not only a best in class production environment but a truly, great place to work.
You will be responsible for ensuring all objectives on safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery goals are achieved. Reporting directly to a Senior Group Leader, you will manage multiple lines and product SKU's within your designated value stream. With a high degree of autonomy you will be key in ensuring the operational delivery of daily production plan but also work closely with your support team (Engineering, Planning ETC) to understand the most effective way to manage PPM's, Plan changes or troubleshoot challenges should they arise.
You will have several reports within your value stream, and you will play an essential role, coordinating and leading your team to deliver operational excellence throughout your process unit. As part of your expertise, we expect that you have the skills to mentor, train and engage with your team and peers ensuring collaboration across business streams and empowering your team to find areas of opportunity to improve.
We would like the Group Leader (you) to be able to understand lean manufacturing principles, be flexible in your approach to people and have the ability to influence stakeholders within your business area. - Minimum 3 years GMP experience in manufacturing function(s) and 3 years’ experience in plant manufacturing operation of a facility
- Liquid or semi-solid manufacturing experience preferable
