About the Role:
We are looking to add a great HR professional to a close knit, driven team who are striving to ensure that the company meets its legal responsibilities in terms of employment law and that human resources procedures are followed.
You will be providing key advice to managers in the relation to human resource issues such as grievance, disciplinary, working-time and absence management while providing an excellent service to our employees on human resources procedures, including maternity, paternity, flexible working and parental leave rights.
You will be expected to maintain and develop the HR computer system and update all associated subject areas as required. This will also include running reports to audit data entered onto the HR computer system and ensure it is up to date for STADA reporting. As part of the reporting process you will ensure monthly absence statistics are produced and circulated to managers and to support managers to ensure adherence to attendance guidelines across the site.
Provide a confidential HR service to all employees within Thornton & Ross with work related or personal problems.
Update HR policies & procedures to reflect changes in legislation, as requested.
Carry out exit interviews on all employees leaving the company to identify any issues.
Arrange occupational health appointments for the company, including health screening, with the help of the HR Assistant.

- Exposure to a manufacturing environment
- CIPD level 3 or above preferred but not essential
