On 9 April, Paul Davies MP, Member of Parliament for Colne Valley, visited our Linthwaite manufacturing site to see first-hand the scale and capability of STADA’s UK manufacturing operations.

Hosted by Andrew Sunley, Site Head and VP of Technical Operations, Paul toured the site and spent time on the Creams and Liquids production lines, along with Process Unit Heads Claire Harrison and Mariusz Antoszs. Paul spoke with colleagues and enjoyed seeing how Thornton & Ross products are manufactured.

MP Paul said: "It was a real pleasure to visit the Linthwaite Site of STADA, one of our major employers in the Constituency. I was really impressed by the range of products that they produce - many names of which I recognised.

“The commitment of the Management Team to producing high quality products was clear, as was their commitment to their employees.

“It was great to see that many employees had worked there for many years. The recent capital investment in the site is great news and shows the confidence STADA has in the ongoing future of this site".

The visit followed the recent announcement of the 2025 STADA annual results, where the UK business played a strong part. Linthwaite marked a strong production year in 2025, with 67.8 million units manufactured across all SKUs. This included 26.9 million units of creams, representing around 4.7 million metric tonnes of semi-solid bulk, underlining the scale of expertise on site.

Some of STADA UK’s most recognisable brands were central to this 2025 output, with Zoflora leading volumes at 20.6 million units, followed by the Care range of pharmacy products (12.6 million units) and Covonia (5.3 million units).

Teams also successfully transferred and upscaled 10 products onto a new creams platform, strengthening manufacturing capability for future volume increases.

The good progress has continued into 2026, with a positive start in performance.

Andrew Sunley commented: “It was good to be able to host Paul and show him the hard work of our teams on site.

“We were proud to showcase the skill of our colleagues and the vital role Linthwaite plays in supplying trusted healthcare products to patients and consumers across the UK.”
