Thornton & Ross, maker of Zoflora, Covonia, Savlon and other brands, is celebrating gaining two important accreditations that demonstrate its commitment to offering great careers.

Based just outside Huddersfield with sites in Linthwaite and Slaithwaite, the company has just had confirmation of its Top Employer status for the first time, a global accolade from the institute that recognizes excellence for creating a better world of work.

To gain Top Employer status, Thornton & Ross (part of the STADA Group) had to clearly demonstrate world-class policies when it comes to learning and development, wellbeing, compensation and employee benefits, work environment and diversity.

The good news follows another recent achievement, where the company voluntarily committed to pay the Real Living Wage to all employees.  The Real Living Wage is higher than the government’s minimum, or National Living Wage, and is an independently calculated hourly rate of pay that is based on the actual cost of living. It is calculated each year and is announced by the Living Wage Foundation as part of Living Wage Week.
